Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
At 1103 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 9 miles east of Chattahoochee to 11 miles south
of Greensboro. Movement was east at 60 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible. 30 to 40 mph wind gusts are possible which may
bring some issues regarding the weakened trees across the
area from previous storm damage.
