Northwestern Lyon County in east central Kansas... * Until 845 PM CDT. * At 809 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 5 miles north of Alta Vista to 8 miles northeast of Council Grove Lake to 5 miles southwest of Dunlap, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. * Locations impacted include... Council Grove, Eskridge, Alta Vista, Allen, Admire, Bushong, Dunlap, and Volland.
