Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
At 809 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms had produced
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of
rain have fallen. Heavy rain has ended, but runoff may continue to
result in flash flooding.

Highway 9 at North Mill Creek and US 220 along North Mill Creek.
While the heaviest rain fell in Pendleton County, high water
may flow northward along North Mill Creek and South Mill Creek into
Grant County.
