The National Weather Service in Indianapolis IN has issued a
Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana...
Tippecanoe River near Delphi.
.Rainfall amounts of generally 3 to 5 inches in northwestern Indiana
in the last day from the remnants of Beryl is bringing rapid rises
on area rivers and will bring minor flooding to the Tippecanoe River
at Delphi today. Flooding at this location is expected to last into
Thursday.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Tippecanoe River near Delphi.
* WHEN...Until early tomorrow afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 10.5 feet, Extensive lowland flooding in progress.
Additional local roads begin to flood. Water levels becoming
dangerous as property damage may begin and a few evacuations may
be necessary.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:45 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 7.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late this morning to a crest of 9.6 feet this evening. It
will then fall below flood stage tomorrow morning.
- Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
