At 156 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated rainfall decreasing from persistent showers and thunderstorms which dropped over 4 and one half inches of radar estimated rainfall between Walnut Bottom and Mount Holly Springs. Excess runoff will continue over these areas for the next few hours, and additional thunderstorms may move over the warning area. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Carlisle, Boiling Springs, Mount Holly Springs and New Kingstown.
