BLACK ICE POSSIBLE TONIGHT ON AREA ROADWAYS...
As the winter storm continues to shift east of the area, the
focus will shift to the refreezing of roadways through Saturday
morning, as the temperature drops well below freezing. This will
lead to very hazardous driving conditions as widespread black ice
forms. There could also be some freezing fog that forms overnight,
leading to reduced visibilities and additional icing.
Be sure to check road conditions before traveling in these
areas. If driving overnight through Saturday morning, please
remain alert for icy spots on area roadways, especially bridges,
overpasses, and most secondary roads. Slow down and allow plenty
of extra time to reach your destination. Temperatures are expected
to climb above the freezing mark by Saturday afternoon.
