forecast.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of
record.
* WHERE...San Fernando Creek near Alice.
* WHEN...From Thursday morning to late Friday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding occurs, with flow
200 yards wide. Lower sections of the Country Club Golf Course are
flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:15 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 0.7 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 4.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late tomorrow morning to a crest of 14.7 feet tomorrow
evening. It will then fall below flood stage Friday morning.
- Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
14.4 feet on 07/05/2002.
