Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following counties, Brown and Coleman. * WHEN...Until 400 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 154 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. - Rainfall amounts of up to 1.5 inches are possible over the advisory area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Brownwood, Early, Santa Anna, Bangs, Blanket, Trickham, Brookesmith, Winchell, Lake Brownwood, Rockwood, Camp Bowie, Gouldbusk, Voss, Zephyr, Leaday, Whon, Shields, Indian Creek, Us-283 Near The Mcculloch-Coleman County Line and Fisk. - This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
