Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of eastern North Carolina, including the
following counties, Carteret, Craven, Duplin, Greene, Jones,
Lenoir, Onslow and Pitt.
* WHEN...Until 900 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Overflowing poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 600 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the
advisory area. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen in
the advisory area. Additional rainfall will exacerbate any
ongoing flooding.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

Greenville, Jacksonville, New Bern, Kinston, Morehead City,
North Topsail Beach, Ayden, Half Moon, Pumpkin Center, Piney
Green, New River Station, Camp Lejeune Center, River Bend,
Stella, Swansboro, Grifton, Phillips Crossroads, Hubert, Cape
Carteret and Richlands.
