If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
If on or near the northern portion of Lake Champlain, get out of the
water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can
strike out to 10 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to
safe shelter now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
At 1146 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
North Hero, moving northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Franklin, Wagner Point, North Hero State Park, Sheldon Junction,
Alburg Tongue, Burton Island State Park, Butler Island, Ransoms Bay,
Swanton Village, Kings Bay, Rock River Bay, Allens Bay In Grand Isle
County, East Highgate, Martindale Point, Highgate Springs, Lazy Lady
Island, Fee Fee Point, Holiday Point, Highgate Falls, and Knight
Island State Park.
This includes Interstate 89 between mile markers 114 and 130.
