Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

WHAT...Strong, gusty winds of 40 to 50 mph near and behind the
showers and storms as they move off to the northeast this morning.
WHERE...Portions of north central Iowa, including I-35 from the
Hamilton Story County line to the Minnesota border.
WHEN...Now until noon.
IMPACTS...Loose, unsecured objects such as trash cans and lawn furniture
may be blown around. High profile vehicles may be impacted by
these stronger winds, particularly on north south roads.
PREPAREDNESS AND PRECAUTIONARY ACTIONS...If outdoors, consider seeking
shelter inside a building.
