* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of north central North Carolina, including the
following counties, Caswell and Rockingham and south central
Virginia, including the following counties and independent city,
Charlotte, City of Danville, Halifax and Pittsylvania.
* WHEN...Until 1000 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 654 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the
advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Allen Creek, Bales Spring Branch, Ballous Creek, Aarons
Creek, Banister River and Armistead Branch.
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
