* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Portions of northeast New Jersey, including the following counties, Bergen and Passaic and southeast New York, including the following counties, Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester. * WHEN...Until 1000 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 752 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen with some locally higher amounts. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... New City, Newburgh, Middletown, West Milford, Ossining, Peekskill, Monsey, Nanuet, Ramsey, Ringwood, Haverstraw, Pompton Lakes, Suffern, Port Jervis, Monroe, Walden, West Point, Warwick, Goshen and Sloatsburg. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
