Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
counties, Kimble, Menard, Schleicher and Sutton.
* WHEN...Until 830 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 630 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.75 and 1.25 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Menard, Fort Mckavett, Roosevelt, Camp Sol Mayer, Adams, The
Intersection Of Us-190 And Ranch Road 2084, The Intersection
Of Ranch Road 2596 And Ranch Road 864 and I-10 Near The
Sutton-Kimble County Line.
- This includes Interstate 10 between Mile Markers 410 and 440.
This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
Toe Nail crossing San Saba River, Decker St. crossing San
Saba River, Dunagan crossing San Saba River, Russell crossing
Rocky Creek, Ranch Road 2291 crossing Las Moras Creek, Callan
Lane crossing, River Road crossing North Llano River and
County Road 260 crossing North Llano River.
