Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of north central Texas, including the following county, Denton. * WHEN...Until 145 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This is causing urban and small stream flooding. Low lying and/or poor drainage areas have already experienced minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are forecast. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Dallas, Plano, Carrollton, Frisco, Denton, Lewisville, Flower Mound, Grapevine, Coppell, The Colony, Corinth, Highland Village, Lake Dallas, Lake Lewisville, Little Elm, Prosper, Celina, Krum, Argyle and Hickory Creek.
