* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Portions of Central, South Central, and Southeast Kansas, including the following counties, in Central Kansas, Chase and Marion. In South Central Kansas, Butler and Sedgwick. In Southeast Kansas, Allen, Greenwood and Woodson. * WHEN...Until 800 AM CDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 857 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Wichita, Derby, El Dorado, Andover, Haysville, Augusta, Park City, Valley Center, Bel Aire, Iola, Goddard, Rose Hill, Maize, Eureka, Humboldt, Douglass, Towanda, Yates Center, Colwich and Peabody.
