The National Weather Service in Tulsa OK has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Oklahoma...
Bird Creek near Owasso-Mingo affecting Tulsa County.
...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and
increased in duration for the following rivers in Oklahoma...
Bird Creek near Sperry affecting Tulsa and Osage Counties.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Bird Creek near Owasso-Mingo.
* WHEN...From Saturday morning to Monday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, moderate flooding occurs near 56th Street
North near Mingo Road. Mingo Road near 66th Street North may
become impassable. Access roads near the Oxley Nature Center at
Mohawk Park may be flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 12.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late tomorrow morning to a crest of 20.2 feet Sunday morning.
It will then fall below flood stage early Monday morning.
This forecast includes rain that fell this morning and
forecast rainfall for another thunderstorm complex that is
expected late tonight.
