At 551 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen along the Windsor Windham county line near Chester. Localized flash flooding will remain possible through 7 pm. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Chester and Springfield. Heavy rain has ended across the area. However, runoff from prior heavy rainfall will continue for another hour or two. No new flash flooding is expected, but streams will continue to run high into the evening hours.
