Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 400 PM CDT for eastern Arkansas...northwestern Mississippi...and west Tennessee.
At 1012 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Hughes to 8 miles southeast of Marianna to near St. Charles. Movement was east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Southaven, Horn Lake, Hughes, Elaine, Helena-West Helena, St Francis National Park, Memphis, Friars Point, Walls, Tunica, Horseshoe Lake, Lexa, Lake Cormorant, Eudora, Simsboro, Dubbs, Brickeys, North Tunica, Dundee, and Watkins Corner.
