Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following counties, Bandera, Bexar and Medina. * WHEN...Until 1230 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 932 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 4 and 8 inches of rain have fallen over the past several hours. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches is possible over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... San Antonio, Castroville, San Antonio Int Airport, Leon Valley, Helotes, Shavano Park, Hollywood Park, Cross Mountain, Lytle, Somerset, Lacoste, Sea World, Cliff, Rio Medina, Government Canyon State Natural Area, Lackland AFB, Mico, Bader, Pearson and Noonan. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
