Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of central Indiana, including the following
counties, Hamilton, Madison and Tipton.
* WHEN...Until 345 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. River or stream flows are elevated.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 955 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
already occurring in the advisory area. Between 3 and 5
inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Noblesville, Elwood, Alexandria, Tipton, Windfall, Westfield,
Cicero, Sheridan, Frankton, Arcadia, Summitville, Atlanta,
Orestes and Morse Reservoir.
