At 611 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles southwest of Stony Creek to near Radium. Movement was east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph, heavy rain, and frequent lightning. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Reduced visibility and minor flooding possible. Frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes. Strong thunderstorms will be near... Purdy, Jarratt, and Radium around 615 PM EDT. Emporia and Stony Creek around 620 PM EDT. Sussex and Green Plain around 635 PM EDT. Claresville around 645 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by these storms include Adams Grove, Grizzard, Bufford Crossroads, Lanes Corner, Booker, Yale, Pleasant Shade, Lumberton, Bryants Corner, and Emporia Reservoir.
