Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
Surface observations and local weather webcams continue to show areas of dense fog across northern Door County, including Washington Island. If traveling early this morning over Door County, especially north of Sturgeon Bay, expect sharply reduced visibility down to less than one-half mile at times. If you are driving and encounter fog, increase following distance and be sure to use low-beam setting on your headlights. The fog is expected to gradually diminish later this morning.
