Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Michigan, including the following county, Macomb. * WHEN...Until 430 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 317 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already occurring in the advisory area. Between 1 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Afternoon rainfall has concluded, but it will take additional time for water to recede. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
