The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Kansas... Cowskin Creek At Wichita At 119th Street affecting Sedgwick County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring. * WHERE...Cowskin Creek at Wichita At 119th Street. * WHEN...Until late this evening. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Flood waters backup into residential yards southeast of river gage site along Lost Creek Circle and southeast of Central and Karren Streets. Flood waters begin to creep over 13th street in the low water spot about a half mile west of 119th Street. Expect typical flooding of low water crossings and low cropland areas as well as fields near the creek. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:30 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 18.6 feet and falling. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late this morning and continue falling to 8 feet by Saturday morning. - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
