Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Iron Range in central St. Louis County, especially within
the cities of Hibbing and Virginia.
* WHEN...Until 130 PM CDT Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other
areas is expected shortly.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 132 AM CDT Saturday, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain
due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Minor water on roadways is expected, especially within the
cities of Virginia and Hibbbing.

Hibbing, Virginia, Chisholm, Eveleth, Mountain Iron, Gilbert,
Aurora, Buhl, Biwabik, Cherry, Franklin, Kinney, McKinley,
Iron Junction, Leonidas, West Two Rivers Reservoir, Leetonia,
Esquagama Lake, Kelly Lake and Wynne Lake.
- The cities of Hibbing and Virginia are the most likely places
to experience minor flooding.
