Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of central Nebraska, including the following
counties, Greeley, Sherman and Valley.
* WHEN...Until noon CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Water over
roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 758 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly in Loup City. Between 2
and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Have received reports of
minor flooding of roads.
- Loup City is the most likely place to experience minor
flooding.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.

Loup City, Scotia, North Loup, Ashton and Sherman Reservoir
Dam.
