At 1204 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 10 miles north of St. John to 8 miles southwest of International Peace Garden. Movement was east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Rolla, Dunseith, St. John, International Peace Garden, Belcourt, Shell Valley, Turtle Mountain, Lake Metigoshe State Park, Homen State Forest, Butte St. Paul State Recreation Area, and Pelican Point State Recreation Area.
