You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...In Minnesota, Southern Cook, Southern Lake, Carlton and
southern St. Louis Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the
Grand Portage Reservation and the Fond du Lac Band.
* WHEN...From 7 PM CDT this evening through Saturday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Extensive street
flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- A slow moving cold front will bring heavy rainfall which may
lead to rapid runoff and flash flooding late tonight into
Saturday. Heavy rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are
expected, with localized amounts in excess of 4 inches
possible.
