Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following counties, Blanco, Comal, Hays and Kendall. * WHEN...Until 500 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 137 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This is causing urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Dripping Springs, Blanco, Canyon Lake, Johnson City, Payton, Henly, Twin Sisters, Flugrath, Pedernales Falls State Park, Fischer, Rocky Creek, Hye, Kendalia, Sandy, Spring Branch, LBJ State Park and Mount Gainor. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
