* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast North Carolina, including the following counties, Brunswick and New Hanover. * WHEN...Until 800 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 424 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain has already fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Wilmington, Leland, Carolina Beach, Wrightsville Beach, Kure Beach, North Masonboro Island, South Masonboro Island, Snows Cut, Figure Eight Island, Masonboro, University Of North Carolina At Wilmington, Silver Lake, Seagate, Hightsville, Myrtle Grove, Wilmington International Airport, Kings Grant, Windemere, Mayfaire and Landfall. - weather.gov/safety/flood
