Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of northwest Texas, including the following
county, Lubbock.
* WHEN...Until 500 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 257 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
already occurring in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1
inch of rain has fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.

Lubbock, Wolfforth, Shallowater, Idalou, Lubbock
International Airport, Downtown Lubbock, Texas Tech
University, Lubbock South Plains Mall, Reese Center, New
Deal, Buffalo Springs and Lubbock Science Spectrum.
