Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of west central Arkansas, including the following
county, Sebastian and Oklahoma, including the following counties,
Haskell, Le Flore and Sequoyah.
* WHEN...Until 1145 PM CDT Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
remain closed due to flooding. Low-water crossings are inundated
with water and may not be passable. Local media have reported
water rescues.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1150 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing in the warned area.
Between 3 and 7 inches of rain have fallen.
