Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding. Do not stay in areas subject to flooding when
water begins rising.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of central Virginia, including the following
counties, Amelia and Powhatan.
* WHEN...Until 330 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 204 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that heavy rain has
fallen due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and
1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Light to locally moderate rain continues to fall in the
advisory area.

Chula, Morven, Genito, Giles Mill, Worshams, Goodwins Store,
Pilkinton, Clayville, Winterham, Flat Rock, Lodore, Holly
