The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio TX has issued
a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Texas...
Frio River At Concan affecting Uvalde County.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Frio River at Concan.
* WHEN...From this morning to late tonight.
* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding reaches camping
areas near Rio Frio to above concan during recreation months
threatening campers, autos, RV trailers, canoes and gear. Low
roads and bridges are flooded and dangerous to auto traffic.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 4:15 AM CDT Monday the stage was 5.8 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late this morning to a crest of 12.7 feet this afternoon. It
will then fall below flood stage late this afternoon.
- Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
13.5 feet on 05/24/2015.
