* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of southern Connecticut, including the following area, Northern Fairfield, northeast New Jersey, including the following areas, Bergen, Essex, Passaic, Union, and Hudson, and southeast New York, including the following areas, Northern Westchester, Orange, Putnam and Rockland. * WHEN...Until midnight EDT tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of urban, low lying, and flood prone locations, as well as along rivers, creeks, and streams. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Numerous showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain are expected late this afternoon and this evening. Widespread rainfall of 1 to 3 inches and localized rainfall totals of up to 5 inches are possible, with rainfall rates of over 2 inches per hour possible.
