Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges, dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream, even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route over higher ground. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov. The National Weather Service in New York NY has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in New Jersey... Saddle River near Lodi affecting Bergen County. For the Saddle River...including Lodi...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Saddle River near Lodi. * WHEN...From this evening to tomorrow afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 5.5 feet, Saddle River begins to overflow into the back parking lot of the Boys and Girls club. At 6.0 feet, Flooding on the Boys and Girls Club parking lot. Flooding begins at the parking lot of the Portuguese American Club. Flooding starts at the intersection of Kimming Avenue adn Borig Place. Flooding also begins at the parking lot at the Municipal building in Rochelle Park. Saddle Brook along Rochelle Park Swim Club water is overflowing. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:30 PM EDT Monday the stage was 4.7 feet. - Bankfull stage is 5.0 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage to 5.8 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage late tonight to 2.4 feet early Wednesday afternoon and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 5.5 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 6.1 feet on 01/27/1996. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
