Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
An area of low pressure will push onshore the east central Florida
coast this morning and move westward across the area today.
Persistent bands of heavier showers and storms associated with this
system will produce widespread rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches,
with localized totals of 4 to 7 inches. This rainfall will be
capable of producing isolated flash flooding across the watch area
today.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE...A portion of east central Florida, including the following
areas, Coastal Volusia, Inland Northern Brevard, Inland Southern
Brevard, Inland Volusia, Mainland Northern Brevard, Mainland
Southern Brevard, Northern Brevard Barrier Islands, Northern Lake,
Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Southern Brevard Barrier Islands and
Southern Lake.
* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT this evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas.
