Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges, dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream, even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route over higher ground. The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in North Carolina... Cape Fear River At William O Huske Lock And Dam 3 affecting Bladen and Cumberland Counties. Lumber River Near Lumberton affecting Robeson County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Cape Fear River at William O Huske Lock And Dam 3. * WHEN...From Thursday morning to early Monday morning. * IMPACTS...At 42.0 feet, Water levels will top the navigational lock and equipment must be removed. Minor flooding will occur on land adjacent to the east bank of the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 41.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow morning to a crest of 42.7 feet early Friday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Sunday morning. - Flood stage is 42.0 feet. - weather.gov/safety/flood
