The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Minnesota...
Minnesota River at Morton affecting Redwood and Renville Counties.
.Forecast rain on Wednesday could delay the fall of area rivers over
the next few days. But, not expecting any significant rainfall to
cause large rises. Rivers should continue to fall after Wednesday.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Minnesota River at Morton.
* WHEN...Until late Friday night.
* IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Riverside Rd and Front Street flooded in
North Redwood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 900 AM CDT Tuesday, the stage was 21.6 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 900 AM CDT Tuesday was 21.6 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 21.7
feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
Friday morning.
- Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
21.9 feet on 04/04/2007.
