* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of east central Georgia, including the following counties, Columbia and McDuffie. * WHEN...Until 100 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1107 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Grovetown, Evans, Thomson, Martinez, Harlem, Appling, Thomson-McDuffie County Airport, Wrightsboro, Dearing, White Oak Campground, Carpenter Airport, Ansley Mill, Boneville, Adamsville, Columbia County Jail, Arties Pond Public Fishing Area, McDuffie County Fire Department, Sweetwater Park, Thomson Fire Department and McDuffie Regional Medical Center. - This includes Interstate 20 in Georgia between mile markers 167 and 194. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
