At 823 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms from near Supply to Oak Island, moving east at 15 to 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. There is also the potential for frequent cloud to ground lightning. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Oak Island, Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, Caswell Beach, Bald Head Island, South Masonboro Island, North Masonboro Island, Snows Cut, Ocean Crest Pier, Boiling Spring Lakes, St. James, Southport, Brunswick County Community College Main Campus, Mill Creek, Myrtle Grove, Silver Lake, Masonboro, Sea Breeze, Bolivia, and Dosher Memorial Hospital.
