* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast North Carolina, including the following counties, Brunswick and New Hanover. * WHEN...Until 845 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. 17th Street near the intersection of Wooster Street and Dawson Street was reported to have 2-4 inches of standing water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 720 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Wilmington, Leland, Hightsville, Wilmington International Airport, Wrightsboro, Silver Lake, Bishop, University Of North Carolina At Wilmington, Town Creek, Kings Grant, Masonboro, Winnabow, Myrtle Grove, Seagate, Murrayville, Belville, Navassa, New Hanover Regional Medical Center and Cape Fear Hospital. - weather.gov/safety/flood
