Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast Oklahoma, including the following
county, Le Flore.
* WHEN...Until 845 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 739 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated continued urban and
small stream flooding due to earlier heavy rain producing
thunderstorms. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen.
- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
