Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of southeast Georgia, including the following
county, Chatham and southeast South Carolina, including the
following counties, Beaufort and Jasper.
* WHEN...Until 415 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of
water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 208 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a large band of
moderate to heavy rain extending from Downtown Savannah to
Tybee Island. This band is moving slowly north and will move
into Daufuskie Island parts of Hilton Head through 4 AM.
There is a risk for minor flooding of low-lying and poor
drainage areas.
