They will relay your report to the National Weather Service office in Glasgow. If on or near Fort Peck Lake, get out of the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM MDT for northeastern Montana.
At 929 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Tampico to 6 miles east of The Pines Rec Area. Movement was northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Glasgow, Nashua, Fort Peck, Fort Peck Marina, Frazer, Duck Creek Rec Area, St. Marie, Park Grove, and Whatley.
