* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Portions of east central Georgia, including the following counties, Columbia, Lincoln and McDuffie and central South Carolina, including the following counties, Edgefield and McCormick. * WHEN...Until 1115 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and creeks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1006 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. A Flash Flood Warning remains in effect for central McCormick County where more significant flash flooding is ongoing. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... McCormick, Lincolnton, Elijah Clark State Park, Mccormick County Airport, Hamilton Branch State Park, Mistletoe State Park, Parksville, Plum Branch, Hawe Creek Campground, Knox Scout Reservation, Double Branches, Baker Creek State Park, New Hope, Cherokee Boat Ramp, Modoc Boat Ramp, Hickory Knob State Resort Park, Bussey Point Campground, Whitetown, Long Cane Creek Picnic Area and Modoc. - This includes Interstate 20 in Georgia near mile marker 176. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
