* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast South Carolina, including the following counties, Charleston and Dorchester. * WHEN...Until 900 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 657 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a large cluster of thunderstorms with torrential rainfall impacting much of central and southern Colleton County. This cluster will push into much of lower Charleston County and far southern Dorchester County soon. A quick 1 to 3 inches of rain could fall through 9 PM, resulting in minor flooding of low-lying and poor drainage areas. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Edisto Beach, Johns Island, West Ashley, Hollywood, Ravenel, Seabrook Island, Kiawah Island, Meggett, Rockville and Yonges Island.
