threatening roads or property to the National Weather Service
Greenville-Spartanburg by calling toll free, 1, 800, 2 6 7, 8 1 0 1,
by posting on our Facebook page, or via X using hashtag NWSGSP. Your
message should describe the specific location where impacts occurred
and the depth of flooding observed.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
* WHAT...Nuisance flooding caused by heavy rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of northeast Georgia, including the following
county, Elbert.
* WHEN...Until 900 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Near bankfull conditions and high flows will continue on small
streams, especially along Wahachee Creek, Falling Creek, and
other tributaries of the Broad River. These creeks and others may
flood low water crossings.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 551 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the
advisory area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen
across the Advisory area since 1:00 AM.
- Additional rainfall amounts of around one half inch are
expected over the area. This additional rain will result in
minor flooding.

Elberton, Middleton, Nancy Hart State Park, Bobby Brown State
Park, Fortsonia, Sweet City and Rice Town.
