A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
MULTI-DAY CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS CONTINUE WITH
LITTLE OVERNIGHT RELIEF...
.A multi-day critical fire weather event is ongoing this week due
to low RH values into the teens and single digits, alongside poor
overnight recoveries and gusty winds. Thursday will bring some of
the worst conditions of the week with widespread strong west to
southwest winds and very low RH between 8 and 12%.
* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 419 through 429.
* WIND...West to southwest winds gusting 20 to 30 mph, isolated
gusts 35 to 40 mph.
* HUMIDITY...Minimums of 8 to 12 percent; overnight recoveries
aslow as 25 to 40 percent.
* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
